Clicking noise

All good advice, thanks.

I have pulled the brakes apart, not changed the tyres - even a rotate would change things.

The IND reported:
- definitely nothing wrong with the wheel bearings
- can't find any movement anywhere apart from the LHS inner CV which has a little but seen much worse
- can't hear it while driving .... hang on WTF?? Did you turn right and get up to 80? Yes, nothing...
And this is the interesting bit. As I drive off towards home, the clicking is gone, quiet... for about 8-10km and then it comes back over the next ~2km.

So next day I give them a call and the old guy who runs the place says bingo - and goes on to explain why its gone quiet after they pulled/pushed/prodded everything - which unfortunately I didn't follow as I not seen one apart.

He has recommended waiting until it gets more obvious just to be sure. Apparently they won't just let go.

After a heap of web searching the symptoms match results for inner CV issues - although I didn't find any for an L322.

Hey Harlie i would change the whole unit. The outside cv does more work than the inner cv so if the inner is goving you trouble the outer shouldn't be far away.Have you tried lowering and raising the airbags to change the angle of the cv joint?

Graeme, are you saying that one would hear the clicking noise even with a good CV joint?

I ask because mine has started to occasionally click on hard lock. Sounds like it's from the front right but I'll get someone to listen tomorrow whilst I try hard left and right turns.
