More likely to be an ABS sensor fault - sensor, exposed wire or water in a connector.
We had a dpwn pour in Melbourne today and roads started to flood, I had to go out and drive around then later after I pulled out of a parking spot the ABS started grabbing slightly and then bong! HDC and air suspension faults lit up on the dash. and the amigoes. Bloody hell is this rangie a dry weather only car, getting annoying, but something is getting exposed to the we and causing this fault. i wonder if it's an electrical connection elsewhere undneath like a transfer case plug connector or something that triggers of some can bus chain reaction? since it only happens in heavy wet weather

Are the sensors same left to right . Maybe swap sides see if fault follows
Check the ABS fault codes to learn which sensor is failing.

I have a wheel lifter but it's really only good on a hard surface.

I have considered buy in a set of stud extenders from the UK (FullFatRR or Disco3UK) to help fit the wheels (maybe we need a group buy).

I set the hub height so that the studs are only just above the rim holes then use the jack handle under the edge of the tyre to lever the wheel as required. I do the same with my tractor duals although they're hanging from a front end loader because they're much too heavy to even keep upright, let alone be lifted.

If it is different wheels, I'd start following the wiring all the way - remove, clean, reseat and seal (if needed) every plug all the way back to the ECU and modulator. Also look for an earth short. Sounds like a problem in the harness.

I think its the connector getting moisture under the wheel arch, pretty poor protection really when they use a plastic box with the folding lid. Driving in heavy down pours ans lots of water on road causes a lot of water to splash up into that area. I will have to work on sealing it better somehow, maybe l'll try spraying a coating of lanotech over the out side of the connector first.
