    Range Rover Vogue

Hi, I am newbie so may be getting this muddled. I would greatly appreciate advice on how to change the external temperature reading from Fahrenheit to Celsius. My Range Rover is a 2002 Vogue with BMW running gear. I have tried everything I can think of including searching the Owner’s manual but with no luck.

I'd bet on it being an L322 Pedro.

Sounds like an L322, not a P38A. To be honest, I can't remember outside temperature being displayed on the P38A - at least on mine.

Does it look like the white car or the blue car below?

    P38A L322.jpg

If it is like the blue car, you have an L322. If it is a Vogue, you will have a sat nav and a screen on the dash. You will need to go into the Config Menu and change it there.

Press Menu then select Config Menu. Scroll down to the second page and you will see you can change from C to F. The temp display on the video screen and on the instrument panel will both change.

It could well be a P38.

Mine is a 2002, and as we all know the Thor is commonly referred to as “BMW” running gear. All P38’s display the external temp, available in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It can be changed when the market is changed in the BECM, or done directly in the HEVAC.

    Cheers

I'd forgotten about the external temp being shown on the HEVAC.

    Unhappy L322 Vogue

It looks like the blue car, but I can not find ‘Config Menu’ when I press Menu, your advice is greatly appreciated. Francis

Of course. I just realised mine has the Mk4 navigation DVD system fitted and the software is BMW not LR.

Does your screen look like this:

If so, try the Set menu. I can't help beyond that - except for this page from the BMW GPS manual:

Many thanks for your help. I have tried ‘set’ but it will not allow me to make the change to Celsius. I think I will have to take it to a Land Rover specialist.

I don't have a user manual for the Audio/TV/navigation system for my L322 - it was missing when I bought the car.

However, I've just downloaded one and this is on Page 75 of the manual and it indicates the setting can be changed for Deg F to C
