Posts crossed in the ether... Thanks Garrycol.
So it seems that there still isn't a fully legit option for the L320? That is... very disappointing. Especially given the relatively minimal work required to get this over the line.
Might need some more details on that... If it has already been done (properly) there should be a type approval that covers all subsequent ones done the same way? Therefore it's now effectively complianced and approved? At least that was my understanding. Or were these simply modded D3 ones that were adapted by an OL dealer with a "she'll be right" applied...? Confused now.

RE OL Compliance for RRS:
It was thought to be complied on the RRsport forum - refer to comment from Zilch at Wed Apr 30 2014 9:00pm:

Yes OL dealers are fitting them but they are not complianced - they do not carry the compliance plate - the maker needs to do the compliancing and OL has not done this - I have posted the following information from OL Aust previously on this forum. Note OL comments about selling telling people they are compliant.

Hi Garry,
Thanks for your comments with regards to the bars,
I know the D3 and D4 bars can fit the Range rover but as you say this should be an easy fit, Its far from it, The job takes 1.5 days to complete as its not designed for that 4x4, its made to fit by the installers,
I would like to tell everyone that the bars are not compliant but this is something that the sales guys need to tell the customer.
I know of 2 bars that have been installed onto Range Rovers with the customers consent that the bar is not compliant.
This is not something that our store will do due to the legal things that can come of it.
We have looked at doing a bar but there is not enough response and numbers to make if financially viable, the fact that its not a model that will continue to sell any more has had us re think it as well.

Thanks for clarifying that.
It is a shame that you and your competitors have not complied the D3/D4 bar for fitment to the RRS as it can clearly be easily done. I am active in the Landrover scene and know a few people who have had your bars fitted to the RRS by your outlets. If there was a compliant bar I am sure there would be enough interest to make compliance worthwhile.
The owners who have had the bars fitted think the bar is compliant, on the basis of discussions with your dealers – maybe you need to advise your dealers about the issues of fitting a non compliant bar to a modern vehicle like the RRS.
Cheers
Garry

Hello Garry,
Sorry but our bars have never been complied to be installed onto a Range Rover Sport,
I know some stores have sold and installed the Discovery ¾ bars onto the Range rover but the bar not Airbag compliant.
We do not sell any bar with a compliance plate as such, all our bars are SRS and ADR approved for the 4x4’s they are designed for,
Each bar comes with a sticker on the inside stating the fact they are compatible .
I hope this clears things up for you.

Opposite Lock
For blanket compliance of the bars to fit RRS and RR OL would have to do this however if Lockee is able to get a number of individual bars complianced that would be great.
I would be interested and would need to know whether the original bars would have to be supplied by Lockee or after the compliance process is done whether we just send a fee to him and he sends out the compliance sticker/plate.
