As we wait for a L322 bullbar LR Australia is hurting ! The Disco 4 has no real replacement for outback touring in my opinion, as the new cars can't be equipped with a bullbar stc; Disco 5 sales seem to be tapering off going by some of the deals LRA is now offering. My daughter was just looking at a second hand Sport in the yard and suddenly 1% interest rates, free servicing etc were being offered on all new LR cars [biggrin] Our local dealer is 10+ sales down for the month already. The lack of a available vehicle that can be equipped with a bullbar, winch etc is now hurting sales; those who change their cars regularly are now having to change brands [bigsad]The Disco 4, L322 and L320 might be the last vehicles that can have protection equipment fitted till the arrival of the new Defender in 2020 hopefully. Bullbar sales are going up here at the moment, the amount of roo strikes is having many people who would usually not buy a bar now investing in one!!

I don't think LR are hurting that much, they just don't care about the small group of the population that want a great touring vehicle really - they only do lip service to it IMO. Much more money selling pimped out high end SUV's to the rich City folk which is exactly where they aim their market.

Interested to note the Rangie Sport was outselling the D5 in some figures I saw.

JLR are hurting in UK Brexit diesel issues in Europe tariff wars in China. They have cut production and are looking at higher CAPEX costs lower income so need to cut costs. Whether that relates to them giving a S...t about customers who use their products as advertised who knows.
