    Fixes before selling

Time to sell the Range Rover, BUT.

Its a 2008 Range Rover Lux, and I have two issues to fix,.

The Reversing Camera only works now and again. So sound like a loose connection somewhere. Has anybody come across this issue?

The other problem, and only noticed this over the weekend, the passenger side headlight does not rise when you turn the headlights on.

The Adaptive left and right movement works, just not raising.

First off, anybody had a similar issue?

And how much is involved with removing the headlight assembly?

    Hi Drivesafe,
Dont know how to fix your problem, but
did you ever get the problems solved from way back when it was still under warranty.
The last post from you regarding this was that you were parking it up and then deciding what you were going to do with it.
You were definately fed up with LRA at that stage.
    cheers

If the headlight not raising means that shutter doesn't raise for high beam use then normally the mechanism is a little stuck from lack of use, for which the cure is often to flick between high and low beam a few dozen times, or hit a few big pot-holes whilst on high beam.

The headlight should be able to be removed after removing the grille, unlike MY10-12 where the bumper also needs to be partially unbolted.

Hi Gazza and being as LRA refused to honour their warranty, I ended up fixing everything myself.

BTW, LRA was even asked by Land Rover in the UK, to fix my RR and LRA still refused.

I put my RR back on the road February last year and have hardly driven it ( or any other vehicle ) and this is why I have finally decided to sell it. I just don't need three vehicles.

Here is another fix I would like to do.

I would like to get the haze off the headlights.

Is there any quick and/or simple way to do this?

Use car polish or a specialist polish like Meguairs Plastix.
This will get rid of the oxidisation.

The reverse camera failed on mine. $10 ebay special fitted a few years ago (a bit fiddly, but doable) has been faultless and gives a better picture than the original ever did.

Turtle headlight cleaner does an ok job. I buy the bottle not the whole kit.

FW1 cleaning wax also works well on the plastic headlights. Don’t use it on paint. FW1 Cleaning Wax - FW1 Australia

An aggressive polish like paint correction would also probably work.
