    TD6 2002 Transmission oil cooler

    Hi All
Have just ordered a Hella oil cooler from UK.
Need to know whats involved with fitting. Do I need to drain any fluids before removing the existing cooler ?
If its not too complicated, will have a go at fitting myself.
    Thanks Paul.

Found this on Ffrr it seems a relatively easy job for any home mechanic

..remove plastic under tray, disconnect transmission*oil*pipe assembly and two coolant pipes. Catch fluids in suitable containers - I actually clamped off both coolant pipes to minimise losses. Remove 4 bolts securing*cooler*to block and remove. After re fitting new unit transmission*oil*will need topping up. Oh and new O rings should be fitted to transmission*oil*pipes/cooler*coupling. Took me about 3 hours, not rushing. Hope this helps.

There are only 3 bolts holding it to block.
