    HDC and Susp Inactive error faults

    I had my instrument cluster in for repair and fitted a second hand one to the car so that I could keep driving. When I fitted it and turned car on HDC and Air Susp Inactive fault appeared. The original instrument cluster is now back in the car and the error codes still appear I have used the EAS Kicker to try and reset but that doesn't work. I have disconnected the battery and touched the two leads together and that didn't work.
    Old Jaguar has had the computer hooked up to the car and he spent some time but the messages are still there with the yellow triangle light, ABS and EAS.

    Any thoughts from the gallery would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Some further info to this...

    With the non-original instrument cluster in the car, this was reported by the T4;

    With the original instrument cluster back in the car, the same was reported, so I used the T4 to reconfigure the cluster, and never saw this message again.

    However there is a problem to communicate with the Immobilisation ECU when trying to run a full diagnostic;

    Other modules on the K-Bus are communicating, and the module is functional, as in the car starts & runs, the steering column lock is released, and so on, but no comms on the K-Bus to T4.

    With the T4 being what it is, it's difficult to do much with it when a module isn't talking...

    I'd like to run a jumper wire from the Immobilisation ECU K-Bus terminal to another location on the Bus to see if it's a wiring fault, but to access the module the whole centre console has to come out...

    There are also several CAN errors reported from the Air Suspension and ABS modules. I find it hard to believe that fitting a non-matching instrument cluster could cause ongoing faults, but then again I was surprised to learn that it even started with the wrong cluster fitted, so who knows...

    G'day Cambo,
    Did the stealer yesterday and it has come down to a faulty speed sensor. I'm going to clean out the old one and see if that fixes it and/or order a new one.
    Cheers

    Really!? Wow...

    That's pretty surprising, there were no fault codes reported for a wheel speed sensor... only some CAN errors...

    Finger's crossed that solves it for you.
