Looks like they may be narrowing it down for you.
Hi there this is my first I have an '03 HSE and am from Geelong Victoria. This is my post so thank you in advance.
I have searched the forums and although I have found quite a few topics none seemed to be exactly what I am experiencing so hopefully by putting this out there I might get a clearer answer.
The HeVAC unit is functioning normally when selected on heating or outside air and the fan operates as expected. However when I press either the A/C or A/C Max button the unit shuts down completely and Fuse #12 blows. When the fuse is replaced HeVAC works normally but shuts down again if either A/C button is pressed.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? What checks can be done to try to narrow down the fault?
I have the car being looked at by an automotive sparky on Thursday and would like to have a bit of knowledge up my sleeve when I drop it off.
Thanks in advance. Cheers

Thanks Homestar. Correct I have had one reply on FFRR and it sounds like a good solution to unlug the compressor however it looks like the multiplug to the compressor is hidden under a bunch of stuff. Do you know if I can unplug it without having to remove stuff? Can I access the other end of the plug to achieve the same result?
Cheers
Sorry, don’t know how to get to that plug - I sold my L322 on a couple of years back, so any input I have now is based on memory.

Is yours a Td6 or V8?

If the compressor uses an Electric Clutch ( & I can't see how else it would be done) then I wouldn't be surprised if that has an electrical fault to dump the fuse so quickly.
