    New heat exchanger when trans rebuilding

    Need a trans rebuild on a 6sp ZF Vogue 3.6 TDV8. If the heat exchanger is OK and not the cause of the problem should I replace anyway for safety? The car has 247K on it.

    I didn’t when I replaced my trans, now at 283k km.
    L322 tdv8 poverty pack - wow
    Perentie 110 wagon ARN 49-107 (probably selling) turbo, p/steer, RFSV front axle/trutrack, HF, gullwing windows, double jerrys etc.
    Perentie 110 wagon ARN 48-699 another project
    Track Trailer ARN 200-117

    My transmission guy thinks it is a good idea. They fracture internally and then the coolant mixes with the ATF and the transmission becomes unhappy.
