    L322 TDV8 My10 brake rotors and pads

Does anyone recommend other brands of pads and rotors for the L322 TDV8 My10 model?
I’ve generally used originals which are good just a little $$$.
A local mechanic used some DBA rotors and 4x4 pads on the rear about 6 months ago. They work well but with occasional squealing.

I’m due for a new front set and wondering whether to spend the $920 for originals or go with another brand?

    Any opinions appreciated.

Used DBA rotors on a few of my cars; no problems ! Pad selection is harder, Ceramic, low dust etc.. I like a softer pad as they usually stop as good as any, but aren't as hard on the rotors. Cheaper and easier to change the pads in the long run. All the major brands are ok. I used Repco brand pads on my old D2, could not fault them. They appear to be rebadged Bendix Euro pads, even the Id No: is the same

Jurid Pads are LR OEM supplier if you can find them.

DBA are very good and a wad load cheaper than OEM. I wouldn’t touch OEM discs...

DBA don't list any for the front, although previously they listed the same ones as the 3.0 D4 but presumably discovered that the L322's retaining screw hole is in a slightly different spot to the D4's.

Thanks Graeme, that makes me dubious about ordering other brands thinking they may have the wrong retaining screw location.

For a disc to fit both vehicles it would need 2 holes. The D4 hole is on or nearly on the same radius as the stud holes whereas the L322's is on or nearly on the straight line between the 2 studs.

    L322 TDV8 My10 brake rotors and pads

I’m running out of time to order aftermarket as I’m heading to the snow later this week. So I gave in and ordered originals.
The thought of having not much time and taking everything apart to discover something doesn’t fit made me just spend the extra.
As usual the early bird gets it cheaper and that last minute bird without a second car and not a lot of time spends more.....

    L322 TDV8 My10 brake rotors and pads

Ok so I tried changing the pads and rotors today, as well as an oil and filter change.
The original rotors are stamped Landrover and also Brembo.
    The pads are definitely Ferodo.

I had issues with the last bolt holding the mount that holds the caliper on.
It wouldn’t budge. Tried breaker bars, rattle gun etc.
Spent 2-3 hours soaking it in WD40.
It almost broke my breaker bar.
I didn’t apply any heat as I don’t have anything to do that.
So one side is changed and the other old.
I may have to take it to the mechanics and let them get it off L322 TDV8 My10 brake rotors and padsL322 TDV8 My10 brake rotors and pads
