    Mk4 BMW Navigation for 2004 L322

    Hi all,

Just after some clarification if anyone has a second, to assist I'm looking at getting a MK4 navigation unit for my L322 Vogue to replace the current MK3 one.

Found a few in the UK and one or two in Australia. The one in Aus is listed with different BMW part numbers (see below). Anyone know if the one below is the correct one?

Not worried about flashing firmware etc just need to make sure I'm ordering the correct unit.

Either that or could someone point me in the right direction to obtain one?

    Cheers

    Rob

I'd have to pull mine out to check it.

After you get one, get back to me for a copy of Matt Stephenson's firmware to replace the BMW logo flash screen with one that says Range Rover and shows the LR green oval. (Assuming you can't find a copy on Matt's website)

You might also need the last maps that are/were available for Aus/NZ.

The instructions that apply to the original Nav system no longer apply to the MkIV system.

I had a quick look with a mirror today but can't quite make out the numbers. If I get a chance I'll make up some tools to remove the unit.

I got your email rob. I don't have any of those drives myself.

According to the BMW parts catalogue there were about a dozen different revisions to the Navigation Drive in the E46 so I would not be surprised to see different part numbers. That part number on the label of the drive in that eBay listing shows up as the final revision for the E46.
