    Android install for L322

Hi all, I am looking to get an android install for my 2002 L322. I have seen the posts one here regarding this but just won't have the time to do it myself. Does anyone have any recommendations for installers in Sydney or more specifically the Northern Beaches area. Thanks in advance.

    Cheers loanrangie!

Yes I could do it, I'm a bit of a way from the Northern Beaches, I'm in Seven Hills.

fjh79 send me a message if you like, need to know what your L322 has in it now; NAV or MID radio, DSP or standard sound system.

There's been a few developments of late with an Android app that allows you to have a fully functional trip computer on the screen of the Android head unit.

And also full control over the DSP amplifier, from the Android head unit (graphic equaliser, select the echo/reverb effect, etc).

I would but I'm thinking of selling the car.

Are all features that the original Vogue unit supported also supported in this mod?

Sometime back I bought a PIBUS media PCB to build up but never got around to it. Yours seems a more elegant and modern way to do it.

I'd love to see it in action.

Hi mate, the i-Bus App will work with your head unit, any Android head unit, but with yours we would have to make some wiring changes because of that little red box which is running the DSP amp.

Here's some pics of the i-Bus App functionality.

Model selection, BMW models or Range Rover

Need to re-code the DSP amplifier, this is done using the App

Need to disable the Polling Timeout, otherwise the amp only makes sound for 30 seconds at a time.

Trip computer, this screen can be customised, since not all measurements are available.

Parking Sensor Display, it also shows the status of the doors, windows, lights, etc. I couldn't find an option to select RHD or LHD, and it seems to be defaulted to LHD, because everything was mirrored here (drivers door open showed passengers door open) I've sent a request off to the i-Bus App guys about this. Also the vehicle shown is an X53 X5, not an L322...

Some other functions in the App.

Setting the EQ of the DSP amp

Room & Echo settings of DSP amp

Preset DSP & EQ settings of DSP amp

    Sport Mode

    All the usual Android Apps

    And the radio of course.

    Couple of other things to mention;

    - the analogue clock in the console is reset/adjusted via the head unit, after setting the correct time via the app and sending a "restart" the hands spun around to the correct time.

    - there is way more functionality in the app than what you see in the pics, could literally spend hours going through it all.

The developers of the App and the Dongle are Germans, who drive BMW's, so a lot of the documentation is only in German (which is ok for me, I speak the language)
I spent some time going through their support forum, wiki pages, etc, an English-speaking, Range Rover owner driving on the left is very low on the list of priorities, but I hope it will get better as time goes by.
