    L322 Rear Pads & Rotors

Brains trust, the girl is up for a new set of rear stoppers. 1x rotor is grooved so going to replace. Anyone have the low down on rotor & pads to be obtained locally? I would go Island4x4 or other but it seems like people aren't really shipping to AUS currently.

    Was looking at:
    DBA DBA2097 @ $252 a pair
    Bendix Rear Pads DB1397 @ $80
    Wear sensor @ $10

Seems somewhat expensive for OE aftermarket rotors TBH, maybe the price is right? If anyone has some feedback would be appreciated.

PS. Also keen to refresh the brake fluid at some stage, so if anyone has any pointers or a DIY article i can review that would be helpful

I thought those prices for those products looked cheap.

Yeah, looks very good price wise IMO too. You could get cheap no name rotors from OS and save $50 but why bother?
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Thanks mate, I do run an eyeball last sparesbox when looking for parts. I find generally my super cheap trade account or Automotive Superstore wins out. Sparesbox do have a really great range though! Repco is a non thing for me haha

Have you confirmed the DBA part number?
You prompted me to check part numbers for my L322 3.6tdv8 (F: 2006/R: 2095)

An online catalogue I was looking at indicates that rear disc is for a 4.2SC & Jag 4.4 v8(DB2097) rather than a BMW 4.4 L322 (DB2093).

Hey rar110, I did, i checked on the dba parts finder:
DBA PART FINDER – Performance brake disc rotors and brake pads | Disc Brakes Australia

I opted for the vented 354mm as i measured the current ones on there, I hope its right! I should check the thickness, solid vs vented?

Thanks, interesting. I used that catalogue to go through a few different models and some surprising variation in rotor diameter.

I’ll have to put a tape across my rear rotors to see what’s there now.

I had just shot through an order just before you sent that last message, so I had a mad rush to double check everything!

    Thickness:
    DBA 2097 (vented) = 20mm
    DBA 2093 (solid) = 12mm

I currently have solid so this might be an issue you think?
