    2010-2012 Wheel Load Rating

My Rangies previous owner had changed the 20"rims for RRS 19" wheels running Cooper Neon ZLT's in 255/55x19, I pulled a wheel off to check the brake pads and noticed the stamped Max Load Rating was 860kg . 2010 - 2012 models have a Max Rear Axle load rating of 1850kg, so minimum Wheel Rating has to be 925kg+. I'm after a set of wheels either 19"or 20" that are legal. One thing I've noticed is the lack of 2nd hand vogue wheels available, the earlier wheels are rated at 925kg but are 8"rims , and I need a minimum of 8.5 so what are my other options; what D4 or RRS rims are legal ? excepting aftermarket rims at this stage.

D4 max rear axle weight is 1855kg. D4 19" rims are 8" wide whereas their 20" are 8.5" wide. I'll fit D4 19" rims when my 275/55R20 need replacing if an acceptable 255/60R19 tyre is available.

Is you desire for 8.5" for 20" or for 19"? If for 19", I'm curious as to what size tyre requires 8.5" width.

I was under the impression that the 8.5 rims were the ADR compliant fitment, no smaller, the same as the load rating.

Only 19x8 are listed as L322 original or optional 19" rims in Microcat.

RRS tend to have wider rims which presumably is for less squirm when pushed on corners but increased risk of side-wall damage off the bitumen.

    20" L322 Rims

Triumph Rover Spares normally have 20" L322 rims (last one I bought was $350.!). I have 20" 55/275R20 Cooper Zeons fitted to my 2012 L322 4.4TDVB.

Well after replacing my 255/55/19 tyres and 9.0j rims with 275/45x20 on 9.5j rims I can't believe the difference it has made to the old girl Ride quality and handling was great before, now even better even my wife noticed the difference, a very cost effective upgrade from the 19"wheels.
