When your Range Rover Key fob starts looking shabby (the speed of which is increased with machine washing) this ebay kit will save you some $$5 Buttons Fob Key Case Shell for Land Rover LR4 Range Rover Evoque Sport Durable | eBay

The parts that were worn in my case was the rubber covers which come away from the plastic clamshell parts. These replacements come from China and the metal parts look similar but are not as good as the originals.

I just carefully took the bottom cover off the old fob with a small flat bladed screw driver to open up the metal parts and then carefully prise the two moulded plastic halves apart. I reused al,thee original metal parts, the original silicone seal (as it looked better than the supplied one) and also use the original battery holder and seal and the two little metal clips.

In terms of process - do the underneath first (no buttons plaiin face), put the metals sides in place, then take the electronics out the old key (easy when clip is removed) and put in the top side (one with buttons) and after all the little pieces have been inserted press together and test.

Took me about 30 minutes and cost AUD$30 (and a few weeks to get the part from China. I have ordered a kit for the other key.
