Kind Regards,
I use Penrite full synthetic enviro (5w/40), regardless, as I have found that it appears to come out of the engine on oil changes (every 10,000k) much cleaner, and I use it in very warm part of the country on long hot runs, which suggests that it doesn't break down in the same way that perhaps other oils do.
I'm also told (and it appears to be so), that there is less chance of build up inside the engine, which with modern Diesels with smaller oil galleries, it might be well recommended to use full synthetic oils.
One 2.7 engine has logged up over 500,000k's and is still very clean inside.
