    Driving lights for a L322?

Has anyone fitted driving lights to their L322? With no bullbar options the mounting points are a bit of a head scratcher. With the ammount of deer running rampant around here it would be good to have a chance of seeing them first! I don't know much about the number plate brackets. Some have told me they are illegal but I think they would tend to bounce a bit with a decent set of LED spotties. Any pics?
    cheers

I was toying with the idea of putting a light bar under the bumper where the tow how area is.L322.jpg

If your headlights are bi-xenons then replacing the high beam fill-in globes with HID might be enough of an improvement for you. Whilst my MY12 headlights are different to the earlier ones, 55W 4500K HID in mine are a vast improvement on the standard lights, producing much more light than the bi-xenons let alone the original halogen fill-ins and more than satisfy my desire to spot roos. From my only experience with deer is that they are more than just a little quicker as even in daylight I didn't see it in time to react in any way, fortunately having crossed before any contact.

No pics as I’ve sold mine now but lights can be fitted - a small nudge bar attached through the bumper to the mounts is doable. I can’t recall exactly where the mounts are but I can remember there was a decent bit of steel under the bumper when I had it removed to do the intercooler.

Another member here who doesn’t frequent the place any more did just this.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Thanks guys, I did have a look at the space Mario suggested. alot of plastic around that area but haven't had a good look for the possibility of fabricating some mounts. Ideally I would like to fit the round LED lights. The light output on these are amazing, but they are very heavy! I carted a 9inch set around Henty Field days back when there was field days for the 130. They have so much output. I have two sets of Lightforce XGTs in the shed which are fairly redundant now. Used to be the best light on the market but are absolutely rubbish in comparison. If anyone has any Pics, post them up.
    cheers

I made a couple of simple brackets and have a pair of FyrLyt Nemesis. Way better than any LED or HID offerings currently available.

I will try to remember to get some photos on the weekend. I am sure I posted pics when I made the brackets, but I don't know if they are still on the forum.

I hear they are very good lights and the customer service from them is sensational. The main issues for driving lights is the reflection you get back from road signs to the point you dip your lights.

Mine has light bar in behind the front grill. It is mounted to the front support crossmember. It provides a decent spread to 150m Max depending up terrain A small section of the grill was cut out. The grill looks original till your up close !

I think the genuine mounts require you to drill a great big hole in the top of the bumper. Not something I was willing to do.
