I measured and got 120 ohms so I fitted another 120 ohm terminating resistor. The resistance now measures 60 ohm.

(for the mathematically inclined this formula covers what I did:

1/Rtotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2
i.e., 1/Rtotal = 1/120 +1/120 = 2/120
therefore Rtotal= 120/2 = 60

or, if you prefer:

= 14,400/240 = 60
