I need some a different size, but always had BFG.
Lots of chat around and complaints lately.
I wonder if all sizes are made in China?
Thinking Yoko X-AT,but they are unfortunately not in the size you want I think.
I have two sets of rims, 20" for around town and 18" for travelling and off road
Have been running a set of BFG AllTerrains for the last 3 years, pretty good, but as they get worn, the wet bitumen sticktion seems to have dropped too!
Options now seem much wider with load rating >109, and looks like I can get more off road tyres now. Went shopping for replacement BFGs and two shops who sold them, both suggested I should look elsewhere, as now that they are made in China they have had increased complaints from users!
Any experience of Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac? Made in USA

I have 275/65R18 LT Falken Wildpeaks on my fatty, they rubbed a little in the rear where the fuel filler comes down. Had to slightly modify the area to suit but i can get around parking lots in entry mode with no rubbing.
10 ply
Load Index: 123 (1550kg per tyre)
Speed Index: S (180kph)
Light Truck Rated
Ive never had an issue with them, however some feedback:
Perform well on the road, no squealing/slippage (yet!)
Getting a little noisy after 10,000k
They are a rigid tyre, so they don't do a lot for ride quality
They like lower pressures than normal
The gearing is a little off (5%), but i run it in sport mode and it does well with higher RPM gear changes.
They are a heavy tyre
Excellent grip off road
Ive never been a fan of BFG's, overpriced IMHO.

BFG have been poor tyres since around 2002.
Nothing to do with Chinese manufacturing, some of the best rubber I’ve ever used is Chinese origin.
American rubber is often too hard, too susceptible to chipping/cutting.
Spoke to the guy I get mine from and he said none are made in China, some sizes are made in Thailand, the majority still made in USA.
“To meet demand, Michelin will both import the BF Goodrich tire and produce it in China. In the next five years, the company aims to expand the $200 million wholly owned Shanghai tire factory to become the company's biggest globally, according to Mr. Jugier.”
This is to feed the Chinese market.
Most are made at three different facilities in Tuscaloosa, AL, Wooburn, IN and Opelika, AL.
