    2003 TD6 drowned electrics

Hi all, car gone bung. Got a fair amount of water in the cabin in some recent heavy weather, front footwells both pretty soggy. In the past I've had water enter from the centre sunroof control & drop onto the transmission tunnel, so that may have happened too.Tried to start it, gauges & lights on the instrument binnacle went nuts, then it died altogether. Gave it a few days to dry out, battery dead flat. Charged up for 10 hours, she started up but remote locking not working & can't lock/unlock all doors with key, can't open boot either- & this is the biggest problem, all my camping gear is in there.
I have an IDtool, it's reporting that the body control module is in transport mode. Also, the interior lights won't come on, though the little spots will. The IIDTool can't seem to reset/deselect transport mode. The car rides at normal height & I can select offroad height no problem. It doesn't appear to be in transport mode at all.
What the hell has happened, & how am I going to get the boot open?

Sounds like the 4 Sunroof drains are blocked, a common enough problem ! Have you checked fuses and then tried a complete reset of the car's electronics ? I would try this and then start with checking plugs etc for moisture.

Tailgate ? I believe I read somewhere that if you remove the 4 number plate light screws and remove the entire unit you can wiggle the cover plate so as a small hook can grab the cable and pull on it to open the latch, just a thought

+1 for fuse check, i think transport mode is fuse related. Might need to remove dash and give her an air out with a dehumidifier as there may be stray water all up in your fuse box. Also, check your cabin air intake. The water relief pipes might be blocked. Ive had water in the cab hitting bog holes where it came in through the cabin filter into the HVAC and into the floor area. Partly blocked water relief valve things (plus water up the windscreen!).

Have you seen the size of the foam on the back of the carpet?
It is crazy thick , you need to pull it out or it will never dry completely.
