I get trans failsafe too, but only for a generic CANBUS error and transfer case also has couple errors. Not the one you got!

Drives fine except for very light power steering!

With mine I'm not getting a fault code, my scanner is just telling me "gear selector" "Plausibility fault". If I start it in park and don't have the fault active and then wobble the shifter while it's still in park the Failsafe fault pops up. So that's why I'm thinking gear selector issue atm.

Well, I finally have the ABS module back from ACtronics. Using the postal system to get it there was a mistake. Posted 18/4/21, arrived at ACtronics 25/5/21

Initially, they refused to repair it as I'd opened it and decided, even though I was an electonics tech, doing so was simply too big a risk. However, after I told them I hadn't actually tried to repair it (I'd tried removing some of the gel but that was a problem in itself), they agreed. I promised payment even if it didn't work.

It was returned to KLR Auto on Friday fully tested and functional according to the documentation (KLR had to book the repair as ACtronics don't deal with individuals. If you need to send one to them, perhaps book it through KLR as they now have an account).

Unfortunately, the DSC, ABS, EBA/Brake System lights are still on, Air Supension Inactive, HDC Inactive.

A check with both KLR's Autologic and my Testbook T4 gives a CAN Bus Error on the EAS but a YouTube video suggests this is not uncommon and not really a CAN Bus issue. They also give a Yaw Rate Sensor error that won't clear. This is new, it wasn't a problem earlier. The Transmission Failsafe message is gone.

I'm now going to try my Faultmate - it does a few more things than Testbook.

The YAW rate semsor (DSC Sensor) is under the cubby box so that has to come out to access it. I guess I'll need to buy one of those to test it.

Wow you are having a tough time with this one!

    Bit by bit hopefully...

Yaw sensor failures aren't uncommon, but that's a lot of bad luck!

Units for L322 aren't cheap, even secondhand but I found one using the Bosch and BMW part nos. (those part nos. are on the L322 unit) for A$20 (including post) from Lithuania.

    I never updated this thread.

I replaced the yaw sensor but that made no effect. Getting access is a mongrel of a job as it's on the floor at the rear of the centre console. The workshop manual tells you to remove the console but you can't do that with the seats in situ. On an HSE, it would be possible to access it through the top of the console - not so on a Vogue because there is a fan at the back fot he console which prevents access.

Oh, the system is all working - finger trouble on my part.

    Yaw rate sensor calibration

So I had a Jaguar S type job the other week with a yaw rate sensor fault. I replaced the yaw rate sensor and it went from 4 codes down to 1.

I found I had to run a calibration on the yaw rate sensor before the warning light would go out.

Might be something you have to do.
