"Transmission fault stop safely" warning - any ideas?

Hey all. Would anybody know what this warning means "Transmission fault stop safely"? Car is a 2007 4.2 SC L322. Also, is it safe to drive it back home 10 kms?

Have you tried a re-set , or fault clearance ? No oil smell or bad gear changes ? Really need to see error codes, if the warning hasn't gone after lock - unlock cycle. If gone after a reset I would drive it, but get the error codes read ASAP.

Had that fault on the D4 a couple of times, once in Low Range.

From memory in Low,it wouldnt change gears either, stayed in 4th.

I just turned the car off, waited a couple of minutes, started the engine,it went away, didnt come back for years.

Just one of those LR quirks i recon, unless you are unlucky and do have a fault of some sort, then you will need to read the codes.

Without the codes you are going in blind.

I also forgot to mention; spurious codes can sometimes be generated by a failing battery, the L322 is very prone to "system faults " when the battery is dying. Check the condition of your battery as a matter of priority. Many on here, including myself have had problems with a low battery generating obscure faults.
