Own goal with Chinese parts M62

So if you guys were following my timing chain replacement that I used cheap Chinese parts for.

Well it was an own goal. Yes cheap but no good.

25,000 later I got a rattle in the timing chain. Pulled it a part and found the U guide worn through. The Chinese stuff looks fine but after looking at it compared to the German Auto Solutions stuff I've just replaced it all with. The timing chain from Aliexpress is thinner and the rubbers are harder.

Anyway I have replace the guides and chains with the GAS stuff. Much more expensive, like 4 times, but fingers crossed this lasts a bit longer.

Unless there's some other problem, like oil supply, the German stuff will last as long as the original.

There's an old saying: " the poor man pays twice". This is true, ask me how I know.
