No sound from the radio 03 Vogue

I have a problem with the radio after I had the car sat idle with the battery disconnected for a month or so.

I have no sound from any of the radio functions. Everything is working like the radio scanns, the Nav works, I can hear the CD stacker working I just have no sound. I've pulled the amp out and cleaned all of the connectors and check for any bad bits on the circuit board. Checked all the fuses and powers and grounds,(even the little 10a fuse in the radio module, all ok. Did the battery disconnect/reconnect a few times and I have no fault codes for the radio or the DSP.

I put the Digital Sound Processor DSP through it's test with my scan tool and I'm getting the tones through all the speakers when it does its test. So I'm thinking my amp is ok.

Anyone had something like this before?

I dunno just how many times I've seen "Vogue" spelled as "Vouge" here and on other RR fora.

Did you try just turning up the volume? Mine seems to mute itself every so often. I found this out by accident and when I turned up the volume, all came good.

    Need an amp

So I've been playing around with my DSP Amp for the last few days with not much luck. Scan tool tells me there is a RAM fault. Looks like I'll need a replacement.

Would anyone have a 02-05 Vogue in the back paddock that they are using for parts with one of these in it they would like to share?

    Fixed

So I have my Stereo working again. So lessons learnt:

I first bought a BMW amp from a 00 X5. Tried to program it with my scan tool (which can do it) but found out later that these amp are reverse compatible but not forward. So that didn't work. Only $200 so worth a try.

Ended getting a Range Rover amp from Ebay. Just plug and play with no need to code the amp. All working now.
