Retrofitting Vogue HID headlights in HSE

I am looking to improve my present headlights (really just low beam) and have picked up a pair ex Vogue, with HID low beams.

I am hoping that someone else on AULRO has already undertaken this, and can provide necessary advice.

With the HID lights, in addition to the bulb connections (same as Halogen) there is a 3 wire connection that I guess is for the levelling control. My existing wiring loom does not include a plug and wire for this. Years ago I fitted adjustable headlights to my RRC. (units were ex Defender and I used a adjustment knob on dash to elevate or lower the lights)
My guess is that I could employ similar knob etc with the vogue lights, and not worry about trying to find the necessary wiring loom, and associated ecu.

I believe ADR dictate automatic self leveling on HID headlights.
I know there're plenty of noncompliant conversions out there. It depends on if you're prepared to take your chances.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

So my Vogue is likely to have HID lights?

L322s is self levelling, ADRs for HID require self levelling, so yes I will take a punt, but would like to be able to tilt lights up or down, depending on conditions.
I understand all Vogues has HID projector low (main) beam lights, and Halogen High beams.

I’d dig up a wiring diagram as the self levelling is done by the suspension as far as I was aware.

The additional connector isn’t for cornering lamp function?

I can re-calibrate my headlights on my 03 Vogue with my scan tool but the early ones don't have the cornering function. Did that come with the 06 or 10 facelift?

I had HID's in my POS that has self levelling (a working Boge unit ) of sorts. Had them aimed lower than normal and never got flashed. I had to do a lot of rural travel at night back then and they were great, maybe just a bit too white.

One of the bulbs blew and I just went to Wipac headlamps with halogen which are fine.

The driving lights are cheap Narva with HID inserts and they work fine with the Wipacs. Yeah............old school.
