Thanks Paul, further investigation required.

I had a shudder in my car a while ago, but just under acceleration. Turned out to be the rear prop shaft centre bearing.

Thanks for all the info l have been going through all the advice and it looks like you are right about the centre bearing I will pull the start for a closer look

Hi all I have finally been able to get under the car and move the heat shield enough to look at the centre bearing and you guessed lt is shot so it looks like a 2hr run up to the boys at British off road for replacment again many thanks to all
