What are you trying to do?

I assume you'd use a GAP IID Tool. I have one (actually, 2 of them - I must sell one) or a Faultmate (I have both plus a Testbook T4).

You should definitely sell the Testbook (specifically to me!)

To be honest, I rarely use any of them, there is no need. It’s a tossup between Faultmate and the GAP IID. I think the Faultmate does more but it’s less convenient than the GAP. For quick fault clearance, I use the GAP and one of them stays in the car.

I only keep the Testbook so that I can do work on other Land Rovers if others ask as it isn’t locked to a VIN like the Faultmate and GAP.

I also have an early Testbook (T3) but it needs a replacement SCSI CD drive.
I think I have enough parts to build up another T4.

i have a lot of problems with my car and its getting worse.
i have come to the conclusion that the BCM is faulty.
i bought a few control units off a same year model as mine some time ago, but mine are later control unit models, and even if they are the same, i am led to believe it would still need programing.
i cant find the same unit as mine locally so i have ordered one from the uk, so i am trying to find out how to program it.
if this doesn't fix all my problems, i will have to change the ABS unit, and once again, it will need programing.
i have the GAP IID BT tool

    GAP
    Advanced Programming Functions

    • Vehicle control modules software updates (ECU Re-Flashing*), does this mean reprograming, perhaps i should Re-Flash my original one, what do you think
    • this is what it says for the GAP IID BT G4 tool
    • mine is not a G4, is it the same, or a different tool altogether, i did update it
    • the part i want to program, GAP call it BPM, body processor
