My new 2011 TDV8 is missing the external trailer plug. Inside the spare wheel compartment, just beside the large grommet, is a grey/white socket, expecting the trailer plug wiring (VPLMT0008)
I will be making my own as local suppliers/wreckers seem to be 'out of stock'.
I can test each wire and find its function, but hoping someone has the pinouts of this existing plug.
Thanks,
MichaelT

Thanks Ron, but it is all about 2002-2009.
I have no trailer eco in the boot, and a big multi wire socket to fit the very expensive loom. I am baulking at the multi hundred dollar loom, given that I'll need to redo anyway for my preferred external socket.

What's a "trailer eco"?

Does this help?I also have a 2011. The 2011 has the tow ECU built into the car. All you're actually buying is a wiring harness. So, to that end, the dedicated electrics are actually quite expensive for what they are.

I assume all you need is this big grey plug?

Thanks for the link

Does this include brake control too? as I see a 30A fuse marked trailer brakes.
