    High speed lowering

Do the L405 or L494 have high speed lowering? D3s, D4s and first version RRS lowered 20mm at 160 kph but I cannot find any reference to high speed lowering with the new 2 off-road height systems.

Although I don't know the answer, I would have thought so as the L322's going right back to 2002 do this. Unless it has been deemed unnecessary in the new model for some reason?

Being user selectable, as it was up to MY06, could be useful. However since MY07 its auto lower at sustained 160 then auto lower when back to 130, where the difference in handling could come as a bit of a surprise so I'd not be surprised if the feature has been deleted.

The person who trialled a Llams installation in his L494 said he used the lowered setting regularly so the vehicles would seem to benefit in the same way that D3s, D4s and original RRS do.

I found this in the manual:

Note: The system may raise or lower the vehicle automatically (e.g., if a Terrain response program requires it or if the vehicle is travelling at high speed)
    No mention of speed though.
    Cheers,

I don't think it does. The suspension will automatically raise or lower depending on conditions and in which mode it is in. If it is in off road mode then vehicle will return to normal ride height when speed goes above 80 km/h.

My Mercedes ML automatically lowers 15mm above 130 km/h but I cant see anything in RRS User manual about lowering at speed.

    Refer to user manual

Neither owner's manual obtained from Topix mentions high speed lowering.

Edit: Its possible that it still exists but that LR doesn't want to encourage people to get to that speed just to experience it.

I could feel my D4 and now my RRV lower 20 mm when selected on LLAMS but never taken either to 160 to experience the auto lowering. The view of the road is different too when lowered.

or maybe that it is not at a set speed being dependent on driving style and road conditions determined by adaptive dynamics?

That thought crossed my mind too, especially for the Sport, although I thought there would be mention of it somewhere, being mindful of how vehicle manufacturers including JLR like to promote their vehicle's features. One only has to look at the list of promoted features on the L405/L494 sales pages to see what we know was on every D4.
