If I'm understanding for MY 13 onwards that hasn't been completely dealer maintained; if the owner hasn't somehow meticulously kept some sort a paper record of services its a question of phoning around all the garages that serviced it to get a view of the full service history + extra work?! If that's the case that surprises me, and will make buying the L405 cars with confidence of full maintenance more onerous/difficult.
There were probably only 2 services required after 2016 so not that hard!
The standard service interval is 24,000km or one year, if I remember correctly.
As you said, if you want to maintain a service history for your own resale purposes you will need to do it yourself and keep the service records. That seems to be the way the way the so called paperless world is going. You need to keep more paper! Soon you will only get an on line manual as well as with computer programs.
By the way it's not just the L405. It's all LR products and I expect most other brands as well.
Bear in mind that even if the car was dealer serviced, the service history may not be correct on topix. The service history for both of our cars is not correct in topix. It will always be the up to the seller to prove that the car was serviced correctly.
I have a 2016 SVD8 and it isn't fixed. Now being done under the last few weeks of warranty. Seems this fix is only done on vehicles that fail, I do high miles so hence the issue coming to light.Quote:

This drain is obviously used yet the top outlet has an o-ring and is fixed to the block with a bolt whereas the retrofitted drain has a hose that slips over a short pipe that is threaded into a newly-tapped hole in the block.

OK fault caused by oil getting into the turbo actuator and causing electrical issues and random faults.
Is this comment still valid? If so then not the lack of a twin drain as the secondary turbo is fixed so doesn't have an actuator so presumably referring to the primary turbo.
I am not really certain about the changes, all I know is I had a 4 week wait for the new pipe, and they may get the car back together in a week. Seems exhaust manifold is removed to do the job. My car had oil leak to the actuator controller which caused faults to light up the dash. The big fault was a RED DPF warning. Anyway I hope to talk to the Tech at Tamworth when I collect the vehicle and find out more.
Do you know if the faulty pipe is on the left or the right side of the engine? Right side turbo is the primary.
I thought both turbos are on the same side now? Thought RR had gone to the piggyback arrangement with high and low pressure turbos to reduce lag ? Don't really know if I am correct but this was assumption gained from where I don't know.

Would the items above like shock replacement, turbo drain and gearbox oil change and recalibration normally show up on the LR online tool?

What approx cost Graeme, I think I can still pay for the extended warranty .... but wondering if it’s worth the risk. On that note is it generally thought that you should take the extended warranty on an L405.Quote:
