Is the L405's diff ratio as high as the 4.4 L322? I suspect that it is lower due to 31" tyres rather than 30" on the L322.
Edit: My 4.4 L322's ratio is 2.76 and the L405/L494 appears to be 2.73 from an ebay advert, so slightly higher geared than the L322.
Hmm - 4 different diff part numbers for 4 different engines for the MY13 L405 so the ebay advert is short on information, although being such high ratio it is most likely for the 4.4.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
The engine is a little up-spec'd on ours too.

Thanks All - also looking at Pirelli, and BFG (knowing Graeme has experienced both )

I'm still waiting to see how my AT+ survive on sharp rocks and having only travelled 7K they have along way to go to prove themselves, but the tread is unmarked from 80-100 kph travel over the coarse rocks poking up out of my lane and I really appreciate their quietness and handling, not that the BFG's didn't handle well.
Pirelli still haven't invoiced my supplier for the replacement for the one pierced through the upper sidewall by a sharp wedge of steel pipe picked-up just outside my gate and I understand that Pirelli now have some sort of replacement policy for these tyres.

275/55/20 are fine on an L405. There are no clearance issues and they fit the spare wheel well with no modifications. No noticeable difference in performance or towing for me and mine is a TDV6. The standard tyres are 255/55/20, so not a huge difference in diameter.
285/55/20 will also fit but the spare will be too high and the spare wheel cover that forms the floor of the boot will not fit and will be lifted above its correct level.
I was surprised to see the local tip weigh bridge display 2.7 +... something the other day when I just drove in to get an idea of weight before I hooked up the van. Car was empty apart from me (75kg) & 105 ltrs of fuel. It’s an Autobiography but all the extra stuff shouldn’t add that much to weight. Has anyone else weighed their L405.
