I felt a little self-conscious with my RWC at first but the practicality soon fixed that.

Long range fuel tank instead? Reading that sign in the pic, I did the wirulla to kingoonya track with a 22ft van in March this year, it’s a rough old bit of land!

I made it. The pivot is out further than needed to clear the lowered tailgate as I allowed for a jerry-can holder between the arm and the tailgate, but then didn't fit one because I modified the arm to lower the wheel and to make it closer to the car. Initially it could be fitted with the van attached but the arm flexed far too much. I also made the mistake of attaching it to the tow-bar tongue instead of it having its own tongue which flexes a little fore and aft although the carrier survived the trip unscathed. If I end-up with an L405 then I'll make one for it but with the lessons learnt from this one.
