    Are telematics & surround camera functions in the one module?

    Following a TSB to replug connectors on a MY15 surround camera module that showed the module's location, I found a telematics module but which has the appropriate number of coax connections for mine's 4 cameras.
    Has the surround camera function been part of the telematics module all the time?

    I'm heading down the path of switching between the rear camera and a Chinese copy camera on the back of the van.

    I've concluded that the surround camera module is located elsewhere in the MY18-21 L405 and that the found module is just the telematics module. Disconnecting all 4 Fakra connectors doesn't interfere with camera operation.

    Edit: It looks to be in the cavity under the driver's seat, although I have yet to remove the plastic cover/frame over the module to confirm that it is the surround camera module.

    The surround camera module in my MY21.5 is located in the under-seat area on our driver's side, against the bottom edge of the transmission tunnel.

    I now have a camera switch module fitted between the camera module and the connector for the rear camera and a coax en-route to the rear to eventually connect to a surround camera on the back of the caravan that costs around $100, being less than 10% of the price of a genuine camera which hopefully will work well enough for occasional use. I still need to install a 12V change-over switch.
