    Discovery Australian Launch Party (photos)

The launch party at Kirribilli is just happening now, so here are some happy snaps of the new Disco taken with my phone.

Apparently Australia is the 4th largest market for Discovery.

Square Hitch Receiver is an option.

Someone asked "If I order in January, will I get it in July?". The answer was that September was more likely.

My first impression are that it is indeed a very nice car to touch and feel. However you can feel it is much smaller on the inside - the middle row floor height is a lot less than the D4, the luggage area is also smaller.

    Enjoy!

    Still under cover...

I am not really digging the new design yet, for me it's another Range Rover, but more affordable, but I guess it will grow on me.

It's an HDMI MHL plug, which I believe is a standard for accepting (ie HDMI IN) output from mobile devices. So you can play your YouTube etc on the screen. Some TV's have this (such as the Sony one I have). I don't know what features the LR console would support though.

    Here's more information:

Did you happen to take note of the tyre sizes?

It does not seem to be published anywhere.
    Cheers

even though it is in the centre console, it will fill probably with sand on the first beach trip.....
