Zeros what would you like to know. I am assuming its quiet as they are out driving them.

I washed mine today then put it in garage and thought. I will do my kid pickup running around in the Kluger (which I need to sell). Bloody Battery flat.. So no biggie so I took the sparkling clean d5 out and within minutes its starts ****ing down. then sunny. then friggen cold as, then sunny then hail. I threw my hands in the air and said fu#$ only in melbourne. So that was my day.

How could you even consider driving the Kluger, when you have that beautiful new machine???

Tell us all! How amazing is it? How does it feel? How is it in the rain? The sun?

...even compared to a Kluger if you must 😊

It is a joy every time I hop in the saddle. I like discovering and that is exactly what this car is to me. I find new things it can do every day.

To be honest the best thing for me at the moment is the ability to start from scratch. New Vehicle New things to put on it. I just spent the last hour watching a youtube video on the High Country. I as super keen to Deck the Beast out and go bush. I have already looked at BF Goodrich Ko2's for it. I just need to decide on a Rim as I have 22" Rims and would need to get 20" Rims to have some sidewall. So as you can see it gives me plenty of joy in finding the bits i need or want. hehehehe

In the coming weeks I think I will start planning what I need so I can enjoy the High Country. ie Its the little things that some might see as obvious and some might not. But I have to start somewhere.

Sorry got side tracked... Best New feature to me that I like the most or use the most is the Adaptive Cruise Control. So handy travelling that ring road every day. There are features that I have which I will never use. Or Currently should I say i haven,t. ie I have the automated Parking. I did get the New Terrain Response 2. And will be so happy to learn how to use it. I have enquired about the LR experience. So should know more on that in the next week or so.

oh I do like the car smarts in relation to the height. ie when you park it lowers itself, then when you drive away it raises to Normal Height and of course you can raise it for Off Road, and Super extend mode. I read last night if you exceed 120 km's or similar speed car lowers itself 13 mm. No idea if that is true or not.

My car does have the odd bug re the infotainment screen, oh and the Volume control ****es me off when their is such a simple (Programmatically speaking) Solution. It takes me like 5 turns of the dial to turn volume up. They need a volume setting option so you can speficy volume for each thing,, phone, nav, radio etc. and more importantly they need a volume Increment setting.

Overall I am still in love with the car. It will bring me much joy and many many adventures.. So Looking forward to doing the high country in it.

Fantastic Lee! Thanks...inspiring. Great to hear you're loving it! I'll have to take one for a drive soon, but I'm afraid I'll like it too much. Bit out of my price range. But can live vicariously through others' enjoyment for now. Cheers

It will have it Lee. Have a look in the Audio settings/general settings. Also, if you adjust the volume for the particular feature that is audible at the time it should remember that level you have chosen. For example, if your reverse parking sensors are too loud, adjust their volume while they are sounding and the system should remember it. Should be the same for nav and phone. For the nav it's a bit harder doing it this way as you have to adjust it while it is "speaking".
    Cheers,

    Thanks Sean,

Yes the volume bar changes color for the appropriate Volume. ie phone, nav, radio etc. My Gripe is i have to turn the small volume knob around about 5 times to turn the volume up. If there was a setting that allowed us to specify the increment. ie 1 click of the dial is 5 volume something like that. In programming we use this on scroll bars all the time.

Zeros you are quite welcome to take mine for a spin. Just ask.

    • The 19 inch tyres actually come with a 60 profile tyre - not a 55 like in the D4

    hope this is handy

This is interesting - I've tried looking for this size tyre in the past, but the range is extremely limited, if available at all. Will be interesting to see what happens as the lower spec D5s with 19" wheels start needing new tyres. Will stock start to come into tyre repairers, or, will the tyres become a dealer only item.

Dealer only seems unlikely, but if nothing else on the road is running these profiles, what tyre company would take the risk in purchasing stock?

Hmm,now if there were 18's available,265/65/18 is a very common size, and available in many types, and many brands.

Running that 19' size, you would have to wonder, what were they thinking?

Order the 20" rims then you can legally fit 275 55 20's.
BFG AT's come in this size so a genuine LT offroad tyre.
