I think it looks great once the big plates are replaced with smaller ones (slimline version) in black. A number plate cover to give it a black border instead of the standard number plate white border and it makes the world of difference.
Before and after shot attached same plate just reprinted.
I agree, a black plate looks good on silicon silver.
