Absolutely agree, but in a lot of the earlier pictures and videos of the D5, the whole light cluster lights up.

i haven’t followed myself yet, but I followed a SE the other night on the freeway on dusk and was quite surprised how tiny the side brake lights were.

    Seems a silly idea.

There was a suggestion on disco5.co.uk that for 2018 models the brake lights were larger. It will be another 3 months before I can check this.

    Hi Weeds & Ron,

pictures of my 2018 HSE LUX brake lamp on ( tiny orange square ) they are nearly on the side
flank of the vehicle and tail lamp only pictures ( which is a decent size ) Yes you have a big stop light strip across the tailgate, but to me it’s some designer trying to be cute.

    Tiny Brake Lights

    Hi All
I have a D5 on order for september, I do not believe I have seen one in the dark, in fact I have not seen many at all and that is despite spending 5 months in the UK last year and 5 weeks there earlier this year.
If the brakelights are really small and almost invisible how do they comply with Australian Regulations??
From the first one that I did see it did occur to me that they had let some 5 year old wannabe designer at the car. What with the somewhat daft positioning of the rear number plate and now miniscule brakelights.

Hope this one is as good as my current D4 which has been great.

Has anyone ordered new 18" wheels from Gordon in Perth yet?

Having followed one at night. When the brakes come on they are high intensity and very easy to see.

If they don’t meet ADR’s or any other countries regulations then they wouldn’t be sold anywhere! I wouldn’t stress about that.
