    I wonder why they don't sell this.

    Hi Ron I just paid for a subscription for TOPix and this did not come up. Did you by chance get this through a subscription for the UK info rather than the Australian one?

    So I talked with another Engineer who specialises in car modifications and he jumped right in by saying there are not any ADR’s that apply to them. On his advice I approached my insurer and explained the situation and was told that it is fine to install as long as it is listed as an accessory, which seemed more about value than safety or legality concerns.

    My car is in having the tailgate repaired under warranty so I will do the install as soon as I get it back.

    Wildbear winch cradle install

    My hurdle now is that there is no ADR or EU certification so I am trying to work my way through the process to get it engineer approved. The construction is very solid and I should be able to get the welding and powder coating data, but ADR 69 that deals with frontal impact is the other aspect that needs to be addressed.

    I have found a friendly engineer at the Gold Coast but I am in Brisbane so going backwards and forwards with the front off is going to be difficult.
    Hi Andrew,

    looking to install the Wildbear winch cradle with a Warn Platinum 10 S;

    1. Which winch did you install?
    2. Which engine do you have in your D5?
    3. Did the engineer have to modify the cradle for it to fit?

    The SD6 225kw has two air boxes, no room for the dual battery under the hood so the electrician will need to run off the jumpstart pole or a new cable to the dual battery in the rear.

    Any pics of the install would be appreciated. Thank you

    I installed the Carbon 12K winch, in a 2017 TD6, which bolted straight into the cradle. I did it all myself. I connected the power to the factory recommended point in the rear of the front right wheel well
