    Sydney Land Rover Experience Day

My MY19 HSE SD4 is on order but waiting a little more for delivery.
I’m after some more details, reviews, etc of the Sydney Land Rover experience day.
thanks for those who have done it if you could share.

    where is it held?
(I’m based in Hornsby Heights so keen to know where I’m diving to)

what do they cover on the day?

Seen a few older posts that it’s a great experience, just keen to get this car and out it through its paces.

    cheers
    Gavin

    Hi Gavin

I did mine in October. The event is held at property just west of Lithgow. The day starts with a briefing, looking over a car and pointing out the various features. They will then take you on a short track on the property allowing you to try the various terrain settings and get a feel for how they work. After lunch they take everyone on some tracks around Marangaroo, a couple of water crossings, hill climbs and descents. If you’re not new to 4wd-ing it might be a bit too tame but bear in mind there will be a group of people with mixed ability do experience. You can take another driver and both have a go.

Seems we’re neighbours. It takes about 2 hours 15 mins to get from halfway down Sommerville to the property outside Lithgow, when going through the Gorge, Dural etc and Bells Line of road.

    Cheers Ron.
sounds good. I’ve done the run up through bells line of road a few times.

My 4wd experience is through the RFS having done their RFD, off road driving course and driving our troopy around fire trails.
Based on the enjoyment of that is a big part of why I’ve selected the upgrade to the discovery from my pathfinder.

I’m keen for my wife to get a great experience out of this course too so she will be confident when we start driving a bit further afield and just enjoying the time driving off road.

    I’ll PM you too.

    thanks
    Gavin
