Servos sell AdBlue - it's widely available.
hi all,
Being familiar with the D4 and looking forward just had a few questions re the D5.
1. Does the D5 have a timing belt which needs replacing at 7yrs or 100,000kms (I know the D4 is 167km but I prefer to do them earlier)
2. Adblue - generally how often do you need to fill up with adblue yearly at service intervals or what?
3. What is the cost of adblue and where do you source them from if you store at home? thanks in advance.

Penrite Penblue Adblue DEF 10L | Sparesbox
On my Ingenium Disco Sport 10 litres of add blue lasts between 6000 and 8000km. The Land Rover recommended 1.9l bottles of DEF are horrendously expensive so I use a 10l bottle of add blue from Burson and pour it into the bottles to fill it the recommended way. This is because it is impossible to over fill it this way. If the add blue is either empty or over full the car won't start.
I buy it from Burson when I need to refill it. The car gives various levels of warnings starting at about 2000km to go when it needs to be topped up.
The V6 has belt drive camshafts.
If you took out the LR service plan, Adblue is included and gets topped up for free.

I buy my Ad Blue from BP - 10 litre plastic bottle for $19. $1 a litre from Ad blue pump BUT you cant use a plastic bottle to fill as the nozzle has some sort of ? valve that a magnet in the filling neck - truck uses to open. I've tried it, and a truckie next to me told me I was wasting my time filling a plastic jerrie due to this issue - he buys it in bulk for 50 cents per litre . I use about 10 lites per 6000km
