Try Muskie (D5 owner) I think he runs them.
.
I've just bought a new D5 SE SD6 which has 19 inch wheels. When I bought the car I never thought that I would not be able to get A/T tyres to fit a 19 inch rim (go figure ). I'm looking to put a set of Tuff Ant 18" rims on with BFG TA All-Terrains and I'm hoping someone has already done this and can tell me if the BFG's are noisy or not on a D5? I have had BFG's on my previous 200 series cruisers and they were nice and quiet but when I put a set of them on my Touareg they were very noisy. If I get it wrong again i'll be in big trouble with my wife. Any advice would be appreciated
I am also having difficulty finding any aftermarket accessories like snorkel's or which brackets for the D5, again if someone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

I've never heard of a snorkel for a D5. It would have to have 2 anyway, because there are two intakes on opposite sides of the car.
Most people on the Discovery 5 Owners Facebook page are using Lucky8 winch trays. There is lots of good info for serious off roaders with a D5 on there if you join.
The best OEM wheels are 20 inch and then you can fit 275x55R20 AT tyres. The most popular on the other site are Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I have Nitto Terra Grappler G2's, which have been fantastic and quieter than the Ridge Grapplers. If you have just bought the car new you may be able to get the dealer to swap over to 20 inch wheels at a cost. Otherwise, try the 18 inch TuffAnts and then you will have an even better choice of tyre and more sidewall. I made sure my new D5 was optioned up with 20inch wheels to fit the Nitto Terra Grapplers that I had on my previous L405 Range Rover.
There are very few accessories for the D5. If you thought it was like a Toyota with all sorts of aftermarket parts you didn't do a lot of research!! Hopefully you will get what you need to kit it out the way you want it though. There are some things available, here and overseas, just not 19 inch AT tyres, snorkels long range fuel tanks and some other common upgrades that you would be used to for more common 4WD's.
Thanks BobD, your info is really helpful. I think I’ll probably go with the Tiffany’s and I’ll research some of the other things you mentioned. I did do some research and couldn’t find much but thought I would ask people with more experience. I don’t mind if I can’t option it to as they are pretty capable anyway. The main reason I bought it was going down to one car the 200 series was too big and thirsty as a run around town car for my wife. The D5 is a good compromise and the SD6 engine is sweet for towing the 3400kg van. Thanks again for your help.
When I was researching tyres in November, I found several options for AT tyres for 19" rims.
19" 235-65R19 / 255/60R19 255/55R19 Maxxis 980 LT 115/112 Pirelli Scorpion ATR 111H XL Grabber AT3 111H XL Hankook Dynapro AT-m Pirelli Scorpion AT+ 111H XL Toyo Open Country AT Plus XL 111H XL Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac XL 111Q
I went with 20" rims because there were more options.

Given the air intake design through the bonnet shell I doubt there's any option for a snorkel.

So, does anyone know how the water gets out of the bonnet and inner guard? Also the dust? I have sleepless nights wondering why the bonnet does not get clogged up with dust/water turning into concrete...

PS I would love either a larger capacity after market fuel tank or auxiliary tank, and a bigger/aux one for AdBlue...
Inertial separators use gravity and/or drain ports to get rid of the solids removed by inertia.
A good example is the vanes inside airboxes before the filter element. They induce a vortex which throws the solids to the outside of the airbox, where gravity takes over and they drop to the bottom. From there they drop through a duckbill shaped 1-way valve to atmosphere. Larger objects, like leaves, bugs etc get trapped in the box to be cleaned out at service.
LR would have designed the hood vents on a similar principle, but in a more compact design.
Thanks, Hugh Jarse. I had visions of my bonnet becoming so heavy I wouldn't be able to lift it after a run down the Birdsville Track...
I just hope they tested the system in Australian bulldust.
Cheers
