    E-Diff to be replaced

For a while now I've had a bit of a 'clunk' from the drivetrain, noticeable when driving away. It feels and sounds a bit like driving over a cats eye in the road. I've worked out this happens when the e-dif disengages from 75% engaged to 25% and then from 25% to fully open.
The e-Diff engages when driving away at a slight incline. Combine this with a slight turn of the steering wheel to the left, the e-diff engages 75%. When now turning the steering wheel further, the e-Diff disengages as one wheel will be turning a more to take the turn. In this situation, when my e-diff disengages in 2 stages, I feel and hear this 'clunk'.

The dealer has done testing on the car and the outcome is that the rear diff is to be replaced. Anyone else had any e-diff issues?

Ive had my diff, transfer case and tail shaft all replaced so far. It did rectify the clunk issue you describe, but hasn't resolved the vibration i still get under load

Had my E-diff replaced on my 2015 D4 which had the same problem.Turns out it was the faulty universal on the drive shaft, fixed it.

2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?
