    Limp mode

So just had the car serviced last week in Orange NSW, 50k on the clock. Drove 600km to Inverell on Thursday, heading back south today. Heading up the slope over Mt Kaputar to Narrabri when the engine warning light came on and the car went into limp mode. Stopped, switched on and off and hasn’t repeated all the way to Dubbo. Any similar experience or ideas?

Any similar experience or ideas? Yes... vehicles going into limp mode is I suppose a reasonably common thing.
You will need to get your local repairer to put their diagnostic tool on it and see what the stored fault codes are.

What I am alluding to really is that there is way too many things that will cause a Discovery (any new vehicle) to go into limp mode.

My attitude to the orange warnings is to plug in the IIDTool, email the fault codes to myself, then clear them. If it happens again, there's probably an issue and I'll book the car in to be checked. If it doesn't, then that's $50 saved having to go to the dealer to check codes.
