Centre of windscreen + branch = flex and load spreading.

Closer to the frame - the more rigid the surface and the impact has more shock. Result - broken glass!

yep, I did Mike![thumbsupbig] Thanks! Small dense object hitting near the edge is going to be more likely to yield a result. The screens are def not as robust unfortunately (weight and cost saving). I noticed the difference compared to the D4 after the 1st rainfall! It was noisy in comparison.

They say if you need to break a car window - say a side window because of an accident and you need to access someone inside - hit the glass near a corner, not the centre. Fortunately, I have not had to test the theory...

I’ve also seen a video showing that winding a window down just a fraction shows it takes more effort to break.

Was part of a security video - on preventing people breaking windows to grab the occupant.
