I didn't get the impression that electric steering was optional with the wording about relieving the engine of the load of the hydraulic pump. I recall arguments from the time when power steering was generally being introduced as placing an extra load on the engine.
Electric steering is going to be standard pretty much on all cars because modern safety and driving aids need to be able to turn the steering wheel - notably park assist, but also crosswind control and similar.
Enjoy driving while you can, because soon you'll just be a passenger!
Total wheel flex is 260mm at front, 310mm at rear. Don't know how that compares with current models.
It also has active dampers but not clear if that's Magneride as per Evoque.
Will be a GREAT car, looks fantastic!
