Have you fitted the wheel carrier now and if so can you post any pics and where you got it
Hi,
getting a small UHF, with intention to use a through-glass antenna.
Has anyone found a suitable 12v feed under the dash, or from the behind glove-box fuse box?
Or, should I use a feed from rear fuse box? (If so, do you have a suggestion as to which one?)
yes, getting a caravan again this time with intention to go further afield.
thanks.

There are plenty of options in the front fuse box. Just use a piggy back fuse tap. ebay link for reference.

I used stick on Arial, range is not the greatest but will suit my needs and is an easy install. HAve no idea where to get power from , son in law fitted the GME unit in driver side footwell.
My nest issue is cel fi go I have purchased the light bar mount , expensive but will use this for light bar and Cel-Fi ariel mount.

I have given this some thought and I think that if I were to do something permanent I'd go with an on glass antenna on the rear drivers side window, UHF mounted behind the panel with the fuse box and a radio with a handset control with an extended microphone cable to near the drivers seat. That way the only long cable run is for the mic. I'm pretty sure GME sell a UHF with an extendable microphone lead that would do the job.

I followed Tote's suggestion, some photos attached.
Photo showing opening back rh panel. There are 2 panels there, avoid some pain by not opening the one closest the rear.
Used a piggy back fuse holder as suggested, used fuse no. 3 which was for heated rear seat which my car does not have.
Bracket that came with the Oricom 395 was not suitable for me, so I used another, at the top also another plate at the other end that I then cable tied. Bought extension mic cable that I threaded under the sill to the front... followed what I had done previously for llams cable, it is a bit of a pain but doable.
Routed the antenna cable up through the gap next to the seatbelt, used a cable tie inside to keep it away from the seatbelt.
The inside part of the gme antenna (base) just clears the radio antenna wires on the glass by a couple of mm. Positioned that first then the outer.
Yet to mount the mic, probably will put it to the right of steerimg wheel, I have the llams switch there, so will put it above that..
Have tested it, and seems to work fine.
