Cameron, I'd email Gordon at GOE and ask him...he has a new RRS. I note from his website he has a LED light bar mounted on the front bumper too.
    cheers

I'd have to say that the headlights are great on high beam with regard to a wide angle beam showing up the sides of the road. They do not however have a very long throw which is a bit disappointing. Really just a long distance driving/spot light would solve the problem because as I said wide angle is very good.
A friend of mine has an early RRS with standard Halogens and has had a pair of Lightforce lights mounted on where the number plate is on a special mount that holds the plate and has a small bar above it. It was done by MLR and they had to reinforce behind the bumper. Works well.

I have read that LEDs don't have much of a long throw but maybe Gordon has found some that have.

Do you blokes buy the dual range version or does the single range version do what you need?

I got the SE SDv6, which comes with TR2 as standard. Personal preference is to have low range even if I only use it on rare occasions.

    Brick,
I have four acquaintances who have come from X5s, Q7s and others who have all told me that their new RRS is the best car they have ever had. I couldn't agree more although I do love my 2.7 D4 as well as my RRS SE SDV6 Dynamic.
Hope you have the same experience!

Couple of quick questions, what are current owners view of the high beam? Does it provide plenty of light up the road and have a reasonable spread? Given the issues of the high beam on the D4, I have always run driving lights. Just wondering if they will be necessary on the RRS. Has anyone mounted driving lights on their RRS? Given there is no bull bar available for the L494, how have you gone about installing the lights?

    Thanks
Nice wheels Cameron, well chosen. The lights - I've just fitted a 70w HID light kit to replace the standard halogen high beam globes. That might be all you need. Mine are brilliant - if you'll pardon the pun. No need for add-on light bars, tack-on Lightforce round ones or anything else. They just replace the existing halogens in the high beam reflectors. And a helluva lot cheaper too.
The new Sport is the only thing I can think of to replace my L322, by the way.

That's great news Brick. I bet you're happy to have your hands on the steering wheel with a big smile on your face!
