    Smile Joining the RRS family!!

    Hi Guys,

    Just wanted to say hi!
I'm new to the forum. I've got to say I've been creeping around and reading a lot of posts which I have found to be very useful information about RRS. Thought I would introduced myself and say hi.

I'll be joining the the Land Rover family soon enough with the arrival of a MY16 RRS. We ordered the Rangie on the 9th May. Just got a email from the dealer saying build date is 12th of August. We are very excited and can't wait. So usually it's 2 months from this date for dealer delivery or longer?

    Cheers

Nice choice. I have managed to talk two people into buying a new RRS when the leases were up on their older vehicles. One upgraded from a Mercedes ML AMG and the other had a 200 Series Cruiser. They absolutely love their new RRS and I am sure you will too. The wait is going to hurt though!

My RRS was ordered on 4 May, and was placed on the ship on 29 June. It is due in at Fremantle on 31 July. That should give you some idea of timelines. Apparently will take at least another 2 weeks after that for compliance and pre-delivery. I have told the dealer to stick the pre-delivery clean/detail, getting it done properly with paint and interior protection as well as tinting with another supplier I have used on my other vehicles.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

    What RRS have you ordered?

Your timing above is about right......mine was handed over 5 months to the day I ordered it. 2.5 months from order to the build date, then 2.5 months to be delivered. If you can get your VIN number from the dealer you will be able to find which ship it is being delivered on and track its progress to Australia. Usually takes approx 2 weeks from landing in Oz to go through customs and compliance then delivery to the dealer.

Wow Brick, that's a good turn around time for delivery of RRS, 3 and half months you may have got it before the mad rush it sounds like? When we were looking to buy the dealer said there is going to be a 5 months build and delivery wait kinda had that in our mind going in to it.

You must be getting pump for your RRS not long now 3 weeks to go to add to your collection of cars which may I say is a nice collection indeed!!

Hi DrFox, thanks for the information. I'll wait till after the 12 of August go down and see the dealer and ask for the VIN number to track it while its on the boat. I didn't know you could do that. My wife and I have ordered a

    RRS SE TDV6
Santorini Black colour with a lot of fruit.
Lets just say there were a few compromises when we were putting this car together. I liked the Style 514 in grey gloss finish rim 22'' and the wife didn't. We ended up with 504 in 22'' which I'm happy with now as I think It may have been a be aggressive looking a black rangie with dark rims, tint and dark interior if you know what I mean.
    cheers
