    Buying Range rover sport

Which 2 options? The main reason I chose pixel matrix is so high beams can stay on. Living in Tamworth, found the lights on hse discovery are awesome, with only my arb intensity lights on Ute beating them, but not by much. I pretty much went dynamic for looks, as petty as that is. If money was no object would have gone an ultra colour on an svr haha. Have put deposit on it, however I'm a pain at making decisions (hence the length of chain on topic). So that is the main car choices, but dealer has been great enough to hold off finalising the options for the month. Not in a rush but put the money in to hold one of his order spots towards end of year.

I'm actually going to be in Sydney and Newcastle soon to drive v8 petrol, just based on cost and to feel the difference. Still think sdv8 will be the choice though.

From looking at the brochures for different years, the smaller fuel tank came in MY17, the same MY that addblue came in here in Oz. (other markets had addblue in MY16) So I think to make room for the addblue tank they shrunk the fuel tank.

Drove autobiography v8 supercharged...... Is amazing, the sound, the way it builds speed. I almost didn't want to drive the sdv8 again. But still drove one. While it didn't ha e the same level of tingle or wow factor, it still launched with a great shove and enough bellow to make you hear you had something special. So came back to dealer and locked in the build, (instead of a place holding). Decided yulong white with black pack (trying to get svr black rims) climate front seats, surround sound and opening panoramic roof. Upgraded to dual colour interior, pixel headlights. Have a delivery date of 4 months, which I asked for.

This was decided because the petrol is amazing, but like my v8 sedans I've had in the past, eventually filling up to often takes away most of the fun. Sdv8 gives me the same fizz, just not the guilt. If money was no object svr in bophorous grey and black pack with red interior.

Congrats Oakey, now comes the hard part , the waiting - I had to wait 6 weeks for mine after putting it on hold at the dealer (had to wait for the money to come through) , that was long enough, not sure how you will get through your 4 months

    Changes to MY19

    Hi All,

recently put an order in for a RRS TDV6 with Drive Pro + Park Pack + Sliding Pano Roof. The sales guy told me that they have to put in an order for this as I also had the option for 5 + 2 selected. The sales guy said that it will be a MY19 model and didnt really know what the engine specs were. He mentioned that they were moving to different tune for TDV6 on SDV6 engine (twin turbo V6).

Does anyone have an idea of what the changes to the engine will be ?

    Also 4 month wait ....

    Thank you.

    Hi Race4life,
according to info released overseas for RRS diesel engines for MY19 for Europe. The SD4 is dropped, the TDV6 is dropped and replaced by a SDV6 with approx 183kw and 600 NM . I have no idea if this will apply to Australia, but maybe that is what your sales dude is hinting at.

    3.0L TDV6 Diesel
The existing TDV6 3.0L diesel engine will not be upgraded to meet the new EU6d-
Temp-legislation and therefore the 19MY will be withdrawn from the EU6d-Temp markets.

Availability of diesel engines for 19MY
To summarize the above changes, Diesel engines are available with RRS at 19MY:
    In EU6d-Temp Markets:
    • SDV6 249PS
    • SDV6 306PS
    • SDV8 339PS

By the way, may not be a concern for you but if you go with the 5+2 seating you lose the full size spare wheel.

Thanks Gregz. Yeah I am aware of loosing the full size spare. I opted for the 5 + 2 mainly due to the requirement to carry 6 people for like a month in a year overall. Not the ideal scenario but always wanted a RRS and this was the best way i could compromise and get the go ahead from the finance minister

    Changes to MY19

I am new to this forum. Just ordered my first RRS. If anyone wants to include Drive Pro pack, there is a new pack called Driver Assistance Pack. This pack is $12320 including all taxes. This has the new Steering Assist and many other options. The car that I ordered is:
    RRS HSE Dynamic MY19 SDV6 225KW
    Driver Assistance pack
    Tow pack
    Black contrast roof
    Sunroof
    7 seats
    Wade Sensing
    Meridian Sound System
    Dark oak trim
    Fuji White
    Tan and Ebony interior
    Total cost is $165,800

I will get the black pack done later on to save on LCT and stamp duty.

While shopping around, I found most dealers didn't know their product. Most of them were quoting me $187,000. I found a reasonable dealer and got the price down. I had to oder my car so which dealership doesn't really matter. Has anyone had similar experience?
